Julie Jones
Julie's work explores the energy of landscape and nature's processes. She looks at wilder places which seem closer to raw nature as well as more urban environments and those which contain personal memories.
The paintings use colour, mark making and texture to transform these energies using space in an unpredictable and sensory way.
Julie has exhibited over the last ten years in group and solo at various UK locations as well as Brussels and Cologne. Group shows include Ten Abstract painters in 2004 Liverpool Biennial and has undertaken various large scale commissions.
Julie is will complete her Masters in Fine art in Manchester Metropolitan University in October 2008
